The Megger TC640 Thermal Camera is a high-resolution thermal imaging camera designed for industrial inspection and maintenance. It combines a 640 × 480 infrared detector with a 13 MP visible light camera for detailed thermal and visual analysis.
The TC640 provides a 30 mK NETD and a 9 Hz infrared frame rate. Therefore, users can capture detailed temperature information and analyse thermal changes on moving targets. The camera supports measurement ranges from -40 °C to 150 °C and 0 °C to 650 °C, with automatic range switching.
Five focusing modes are available, including manual, automatic, touch autofocus and continuous autofocus. In addition, the camera offers infrared, visible light, multi-image fusion and picture-in-picture viewing modes.
The 4.3-inch colour touchscreen provides access to measurement and analysis functions. Users can analyse up to 16 targets using spot, line and area measurements. Full-screen temperature threshold alarms can also provide image, voice and flash alerts when temperatures reach defined limits.
For field reporting, the TC640 includes 64 GB internal storage and supports SD cards up to 256 GB. Built-in Wi-Fi enables image and real-time video transmission to mobile devices. The camera also supports PC analysis through ThermoLink and mobile analysis through the Thermography app.
The TC640 is built for demanding environments, with IP54 protection and a 2 m drop rating. Its applications include electrical systems, rotating machinery, solar PV, substations, HVAC and building inspections.
