The Megger TC256P Pocket-Sized Thermal Camera provides portable thermal imaging for electrical, mechanical and HVAC inspections. Its compact design helps technicians identify abnormal temperature patterns and investigate potential equipment faults.
The TC256P features a 256 × 192 infrared detector with 45 mK thermal sensitivity. It also offers a measurement range of -20 °C to 550 °C. As a result, users can inspect electrical distribution boards, motors, heating systems and solar PV installations.
A 5 MP visible-light camera complements the infrared detector. Furthermore, four imaging modes provide flexibility during inspections: infrared, visible light, multi-image fusion and picture-in-picture. The 3.5-inch LCD colour touchscreen allows users to review thermal images and access measurement functions.
For more detailed assessments, the TC256P includes laser ranging and an intelligent area calculation tool. Users can also monitor selected measurement points and areas. In addition, adjustable temperature alarms help identify readings that exceed defined thresholds.
Built-in Wi-Fi enables image sharing and real-time video transmission to compatible mobile devices. Meanwhile, ThermoLink PC software and the Thermography mobile app support further analysis and reporting. The camera also provides 16 GB of internal storage for inspection images.
Weighing just 296 g, the TC256P combines portability with IP54 protection and 1 m drop resistance. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers up to four hours of operation.
