Key Features:
The Megger DCI3 Cable and Phase Identification System provides safe, accurate identification of both de-energised and live cables before cutting, spiking or maintenance work. Designed for utility networks, industrial facilities, renewable energy installations and railway applications, it helps engineers and technicians reduce the risk of incorrect cable identification while protecting personnel and critical infrastructure.
The DCI3 combines cable identification and phase identification in a single platform. It uses a high-current DC pulse method to identify de-energised low-, medium- and high-voltage cables. In addition, passive clamp technology enables secure phase identification while cable ends remain grounded throughout the testing process. For live low-voltage systems up to 440 V AC, the optional LCI transmitter allows cable identification without interrupting service.
The system identifies cables over distances of up to 30 km, making it suitable for extensive utility networks. Furthermore, three-phase identification for single-core cables can be completed in one operation without reconnecting equipment. Operators also benefit from an intuitive touchscreen interface, long battery life and flexible clamp options for larger cable cross-sections or confined switchgear.
Built with an IP54-rated enclosure, the Megger DCI3 is ready for demanding field environments. Its modular design also allows additional functions to be added as requirements evolve, protecting your investment over time.
