The Fluke 1630-2 FC Earth Ground Clamp provides fast and safe earth ground testing without disconnecting grounding conductors or installing auxiliary test stakes. Fluke designed it for electricians, maintenance engineers, and utility technicians who need efficient grounding inspections in both indoor and outdoor environments.

The Fluke 1630-2 FC uses a stakeless testing method to measure earth ground loop resistance on multi-grounded systems. As a result, technicians can perform tests in locations where traditional stake-based methods are impractical, including buildings, substations, and paved areas.

The instrument measures earth ground loop resistance from 0.025 Ω to 1500 Ω and true-rms AC leakage current up to 40 A. In addition, a selectable band-pass filter helps reduce unwanted noise during leakage current measurements.

Fluke Connect® wireless connectivity allows users to transfer readings directly to a smartphone or tablet. Therefore, maintenance teams can store measurements, GPS locations, and images in the cloud for reporting, analysis, and asset management.

Automatic data logging records measurements at user-defined intervals and stores up to 32,760 readings in internal memory. The user-defined high and low alarm limits also enable faster evaluation of measurement results in the field.

Its heavy-duty 40 mm clamp jaw maintains alignment and calibration in demanding industrial environments. Combined with CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V safety ratings, the Fluke 1630-2 FC provides reliable performance for grounding verification and preventative maintenance programmes.
