The Fluke 1587 FC Insulation Multimeter combines a high-performance insulation tester and a true-rms digital multimeter in one compact instrument. The Fluke 1587 FC performs insulation resistance tests up to 2 GΩ using selectable test voltages of 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V, and 1000 V. As a result, users can test motors, cables, switchgear, transformers, and electrical installations with a single device.
Fluke Connect® compatibility enables wireless storage, sharing, and analysis of measurement data. In addition, PI/DAR timed ratio tests with TrendIt™ graphing help identify insulation deterioration, moisture ingress, and contamination issues more effectively.
The built-in VFD low-pass filter delivers accurate measurements on motor drives and variable frequency systems. Furthermore, the meter measures AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, continuity, capacitance, frequency, temperature, and diode performance.
Live circuit detection prevents insulation testing when voltage above 30 V is present. The automatic discharge function also removes stored capacitive voltage after testing, improving user safety.
